Jon Garner began developing software for the tree and lawn care industry out of a heartfelt desire to bring innovative software systems to the industry at reasonable prices. While working as a general manager for a large lawn customers, return to the office and download the information to a computer, thus eliminating data entry by the secretary. When Jon researched the green industry for the program he dreamed of he discovered outdated "DOS" operating programs with high price tags. Fortunately he also had a background in programming from college. In the fall of 1993 Jon and a team of programmers began developing the first windows program for the industry that included the ability to synchronize information with a hand-held computer.

Since that time Tree Management Systems, Inc. has sold hundreds of programs for the industry. Users are reassured by the fact that our programs are developed and supported by someone who knows and understand their business -- Jon Garner, is also a Certified ISA Arborist and Turfgrass Specialist.
