CenterStone Software was incubated within one of New England's largest architecture and design firms, ADD Inc. The founder of CenterStone, Matthew Meyer, in his role as ADD’s Chief Technology Officer, had struggled to find integrated workplace solutions to assist in strategic planning and new facilities construction. The use of CAD systems and CAFM solutions was prevalent in the market place, but too much time and effort was being wasted in the application of these tools. More importantly, the results were often inaccurate and piecemeal, and did not deliver information meaningful to senior executives.
eCenter One Workplace was developed in 1999 when CenterStone Software was launched as an independent company. The philosophy on which the company was founded grew from the evolving use of Internet technology.
