Founded in 1980, our organization originally developed custom UNIX applications for an in-house recruiting agency as well as for other firms.  Using our first-hand knowledge of the recruiting industry, we continued to enhance our applications and eventually packaged a complete recruiting software solution that is now Gopher.  Because of its robust features, affordability and speed, Gopher quickly gained acceptance amongst firms small to large.  In 1990, the company ended all custom development to focus on the growing popularity of its Gopher line of products.

In 1992, the company moved its corporate headquarters from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles to the scenic mountain town of Crested Butte, Colorado.  It was soon after when Gopher reached a new level of capability when it was configured to operate seamlessly on all Windows platforms making it universally compatible with Microsoft applications.

Today, BlackDog Recruiting Software, Inc. operates research and development from Crested Butte while technical support, testing and consulting is directed in Dubuque, Iowa.  Improved over two decades, Gopher Recruiting Software has become the premier recruiting system choice of industry professionals worldwide.  Latest options include multi-user, network and Internet-based solutions.  And with our goal of providing "A Complete Recruiting System", the company continues to expand its consulting and support services.  As we have from the beginning, we continue to grow our business one satisfied client at a time.
