FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ACOM’s EZContentManager to Make Trade Show Debut at ECM West;
Newest Component of Powerful Electronic Document Management Suite

SAN JOSE, California, November 6, 2006 – ACOM Solutions, Inc. is exhibiting its EZContentManager (EZCM) solution for the first time publicly November 6-8 at ECM West, the new West Coast counterpart to the AIIM Conference and Expo, it was announced today by Sam Mikhail, vice president of ACOM’s eBusiness Division. The company currently markets the solution through its eBusiness Division in Long Beach, California and through its System i Division in Duluth, Georgia. The ACOM exhibit is located at Booth # 333.

Launched earlier this year, EZContentManager is a scalable, platform-independent, web-based enterprise content management (ECM) solution that eliminates information silos and establishes a single SQL repository, dramatically extending the availability and usefulness of all corporate content (files, documents, graphics, etc.). Once in the repository, content is available under various authorization parameters for company-wide use in customer service, financial audit, collaboration and a wide variety of other purposes. Content can be accessed either by metadata or full text search.

“ACOM is known industry-wide for its EZeDocs document output and EZPayManager payment management solutions,” Mikhail said. “EZContentManager integrates seamlessly with these solutions, which automatically index and archive their output for storage into the EZCM repository as it is produced, complete with metadata. Externally generated content similarly is indexed and archived as it is scanned into the system. The solution can also support non-ACOM software environments.”

EZContentManager at Work
According to Mikhail, one multi-location industrial company that utilizes a variety of sometimes incompatible hardware and software systems took advantage of EZContentManager’s web-based architecture to make accounts receivable documents available electronically to authorized persons across the company intranet, regardless of their I.T. environment.

“The company wanted the ability to scan these documents, link related documents and place them directly into electronic archives, making them available wherever needed for desktop viewing, retrieval and printing, and for electronic transmission,” he said. “EZContentManager enables all of this activity using just a browser and an Internet connection. Once the customer invoice problem was solved, the company continued to initiate projects, among them vendor purchase orders, EDI documents and conference scheduling, as departments request them.”

Another industrial corporation used EZContentManager to establish a new document retention policy, consolidating procedures that previously existed on two different platforms -- one a proprietary solution and the other residing on the company’s enterprise software. A committee had worked for a year to develop a process for accommodating new government regulations as well as the company’s requirements for archiving and rapid retrieval of corporate documents, using the enterprise system. The proprietary solution was used to manage operating documents such as invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable. EZContentManager enabled the company to place both activities on a single platform, simplifying and accelerating its search and retrieval operations significantly.

“No matter what computing technology they employ, enterprises of every size today need coordinated solutions for creating, capturing, storing, retrieving, managing and distributing internal and external documents and images,” Mikhail said. “Expensive, complicated, feature-dense ECM solutions have been available for years, but many companies have now concluded that what they really need are easy-to-implement, easy-to-use solutions that serve their day-to-day requirements and which, when installed, will actually be used. The highly flexible, web-based EZContentManager solution makes these capabilities available for as little as 10 percent of traditional ECM solutions. With EZContentManager, small and mid-sized companies can transition to the new generation of secure content management with relative ease.”
