SYSPRO Is Runner Up for Two AeA Awards - Company of the Year, Innovative New Product

COSTA MESA, CA – May 23, 2006  -- SYSPRO, a leading producer of enterprise software for SMB manufacturers and distributors, said that the company had been a runner-up for two AeA Orange County Council awards – Outstanding Company of the Year and Innovative Product of 2005.  SYSPRO, in fact, was the only company to be a finalist in both categories.

The AeA awards, themed, “The Race to Innovate,” were presented on May 18 to an audience of more than 500 persons at the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel in Costa Mesa, Calif.  According to the Orange County Council of AeA, the largest technology trade association in the United States, this year it received the most nominations in the 13 year history of the awards, which honor leadership in “advancing the business of technology.”  Nominations were accepted in the following categories: Outstanding Company, Outstanding Public Company CEO, Outstanding Private Company CEO, Outstanding Woman in Technology, High Impact Person of the Year, Innovative Product of 2005, and the Greg Ross Community Service Award.

SYSPRO was named in the Innovative Product Category for the company’s Inventory Optimization solution.  Inventory Optimization for manufacturers and distributors is a vital part of achieving a lean environment where the focus shifts from individual supply chain elements to a holistic approach that emphasizes throughput of the entire supply chain. SYSPRO is the first software company to offer such a solution to SMB companies as part of its core ERP product.  This reflects the company’s philosophy of providing customers with technologically superior solutions, characteristic of high end systems, but at prices the midmarket can afford.   SYSPRO primarily sells to small to medium size manufacturers and distributors and divisions of larger companies.
