Teledyne Technologies EMS Business Unit Selects Steelwedge Software for Sales & Operations Planning Technology-Enabled Load-Balancing Solution to Go Live in Less Than 6 Months
PLEASANTON, CA - Dec 14, 2005 -- Steelwedge Software, the leader in Enterprise Planning and Performance Management solutions, announced today that the Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) business unit of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) has selected Steelwedge software for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). The EMS business unit manufactures low-to-moderate volume, high technology products for customers in complex communications, medical, defense, and aerospace industries. Teledyne needed to deploy a streamlined S&OP process to improve its strategic planning capabilities and to better load balance across clients and manufacturing cells to support rapid growth. The solution will include work cell-based rough cut capacity planning across multiple plants, collaborative demand forecasting, and S&OP scenario analysis capabilities. More than fifty users globally will be using Steelwedge. Key users include the business unit executive team, financial planners, production planners, manufacturing engineers, business development specialists, and program managers.
