Element Software Releases Copper 2005; Collaboration Software Nominated for Apple Design Awards
VICTORIA, Australia, -- June 24 -- Just days after its release, Element Software's Copper 2005 Web-based project management and collaboration software (http://www.copperproject.com) has been nominated for this year's Apple Design Awards. Perhaps that is because the highly anticipated follow-up to the Copper 2004 corporate version is sleeker, sexier and more intuitive than its predecessor. Apple.com offered strong praise for the upgrade, stating Copper 2005 is "the first and last project management tool designed for creative teams."
Copper 2005 allows organizations and their partners to share project- related files and information via a secure interface. And what an interface it is: Thanks to a complete overhaul, Copper 2005 is just as clean as the 2004 version, but with a refined layout, more features and an icon for just about everything - including a virtual coffee machine.
There are over 50 other enhancements to Copper 2005, including CRM integration, iCal synchronization, a dynamic, easy-to-use Gantt chart with draggable tasks, and a centralized Springboard view that enables users to quickly get to the tasks most relevant to them. Contact reports, expanded administrator preferences and easier access control round out the list of Copper 2004 clients' most-requested improvements.
"Four years ago we launched a tool that was created specifically for design studios, yet it would seem that the demand for beautiful software is universal: Copper is now used by over 500 organizations in 15 industries and 32 countries," Element Software CEO Ben Prendergast stated. "With the carefully crafted features offered in the new version, Copper 2005 is the only choice for businesses in need of a team management tool their teams will actually use."
Available in demo mode or for purchase at http://www.copperproject.com, Copper 2005 retails for $999. Element Software will customize the tool for organizations with specific needs.
